Mashinani Watch Organisation to empower over 100 women groups on Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs)
“Today we engaged representatives of several women groups from Kiembeni on Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) to empower them and fortify livelihoods across diverse dimensions. This program which kicked off today will accommodate more than 100 women groups within Bamburi Ward before extending to other areas across the Coast Region. Women play a critical role in driving economic development and social progress. Empowering women through entrepreneurship not only promotes gender equality but also leads to more inclusive and sustainable growth. Entrepreneurship presents a path for women to close the pay gap and rise to leadership positions, on their own terms. Running their own company also offers the opportunity for women to collaborate with and hire other ambitious, like-minded women, fostering a new generation of women in leadership roles.
